Birthday Bash

The KRH3 is in the papers ! Usual Page 3 people like Willy Wanker Shaun and Sex Guru Saw are seen with Stalkers Ashish and Kunal in the Statesman 15th March colour supplement Kolkata Plus, on the last page Kolkata Unplugged around town cultural section, « guzzling mugs of beer after the Hash run at Kenilworth Hotel ». On on guys, you look great. Debaroop and Ashish have some rad pictures of the hashers, Sarah and also of Chiru’s Angels. Any ideas for names for Sarah and Kunal ? And will someone please volunteer to update the web page ?
On on,
Latecummer
p.s. Name dropping : At a birthday bash last night of a 36 year old British diplomat on Her Majesty’s service in Calcutta, the invite list was to include hashers and even page 3 people. However as Molester was recently out of town, the invitations were a bit of a hash and the hashers who did turn up didn’t know many of the non hasher guests like Jumbo and Poodang. A well-known and well-endowed Bengali actress, Moon Moon Sen in a yellow polka dot sari, sidled up to Bill and introduced herself as Moon Moon. Bill very gallantly replied, Hi, I’m Bill Bill. After that, the party was a double billed success and Moon Moon even kissed Bill good bye. While Sex Guru saw and Afroze mooned over Moon Moon, Maxine and I drooled over the spread catered by Hyatt. Multiple trails were made between the barbecue corner, the salad bar and the delighfully sinful dessert corner where apart from the cakes, there was strawberry flambé with whipped cream. RA Pammi didn’t have to tell us to go forth and sin.
Happy Birthday Molester and on on to Hong Kong for a holiday from the Bongs.

Hi, I would like to walk/stroll on Sunday, our group came 3rd from last in the City of Joy run so I am qualified! But do we really have to show a medical certificate and does that mean I have to go to a doctor before Sunday
Ans. Medical test only for the 40 km and 10 km. We're spared as we're doing the 4.2 km. Have filled the forms for you. Be there on red road by 6:30. Since there's no prize money for us, there's no hurry.

Medical Test to see if you are fit to run the 4.2 km trail as part of the Calcutta Marathon Race.

Below are two questions. You have to answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer them immediately.
OK?

Ready? GO!!! (scroll down)

First Question:

You are participating in the 4.200 km race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely
wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you
are second!

Try not to screw up in the next question.
To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you took
for the first question!

Second Question:
If you overtake the last person, then you are...?

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are
wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

You're not very good at this! Are you? Don't worry if you got the answers wrong then you are fit to join the rest of us for the Fun Run on Sunday 13th March at 6:30 am.

Revolutionary Run Netaji Great Escape Route

Hash herald:
At the last Reunion Run the new Kolkata Revolutionary Hash House Harriers Mismanagement Council was nominated. This Saturday 12th March, 2005 will be the first run with the new council and we shall take a commemorative photo of the Hash Group in returnee hasher photographer Debaroop’s Studio. So please wear Hash T shirts. If you don’t have one we may force you to buy one!

The Run will be a revolutionary run after Kolkata’s revolutionary Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose. The Run will go down in KRH3 Hash history as Netaji’s Great Escape Route. It will start from in front of the Netaji Bhavan opposite Forum at 3:30. Whoever wants to do some shopping at Forum or take in a movie at Inox, do so but make sure you are in front by 3:30 p.m. on the dot! Look out for the Red Hash Flag, Hares Debaroop 9831421985, myself and the very red Sexy Legs Chiru who is finally mobile - 9830779545.

The trail will then start from Debaroop’s house after a quick photo shoot. The trail ends at Kenilworth where our Honorary RA Bean Town Billie is setting up to organize the circle.

As Debaroop’s parents have escaped the city, he’s having a hash bash at his place at 6B Allenby Rd that evening. All are welcome. There may be a Green Curry or a Red curry. Max has promised to make her famous paté. Siddiqui is bringing cake. Just bring a bottle if you’re wondering what to get. Debaroop’s dog of course only drinks scotch.

Don’t forget that after this hash bash the next morning some of you are registering for the Calcutta Marathon runs. Topsurd has had the forms collected from the Kennel Club today so call me if you want to register for the 4.2 km run on 13th March, 2005 at 6:30 am.

Let’s move Forward, On On the Revolutionaries,

Netaji Bhavan to Kenilworth with Hares : Late Cummer Neela, Debaroop Sen

Hashers : 19

It was a beautiful day and 19+ hashers met in front of the Netaji Bhavan. Some entered to visit the revolutionary Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s house and vintage car. Debaroop had his camera ready to take a front and back picture of the hashers before we set off on the great escape route down the little lane opp Forum that took us past Kewpie’s.

Hares Late Cummer, Hash Flash Debaroop and Sexy Legs Chiru had laid the the trail with shredded paper and got caught in the rain and had to stand with the Food Bazaar packets of shreddies below C3 supermarket. Though it rained again in the afternoon, by 3 :30 p.m. the weather was beautiful once again for a walk around the historic and happening neighbourhood of Kewpie’s, Forum and finally Kenilworth.

Hashers like Lickin’ Lucky and Pants Down, obviously forgetting that the hash is about following trails, false trails and all, just wanted to head to the beers waiting for us at the Kenilworth. We did make them walk around in circles around the Netaji statue in the park and only Sex Guru Saw found and followed a couple of false trails.

Back at the Kenilworth under the sun shades in the garden, we formed one of the longest circles in Hash history with Duck Suck Carl and Pants Down Pammi giving down downs right and left. The hares got d.d.s for a revolting run as there was very little running in the heart of Calcutta. We had to drink double d.d.s because Hare Sexy Legs Chiru had disappeared on an assignment or assignation. Ashish had disappeared and since we were surrounded by paparazzi that the Kenilworth had invited we missed our own stalker immediately. As a downloader he got a d.d. as did Download T shirt wearer Sex Guru Saw and new comer Nilay from Bombay, an ex sailor who does something with tubes. Our host the hotel owner got a thank you d.d. The sinners got d.d.s. Nilay, Tritha, Late cummer, Debaroop, Ouistiti Rahul, Abhinanda and Aude all got back in the circle for wearing wrong Hash gear – wrong shoes, jeans etc. Of course what must have completely fazed the press photographers was Nipples Ashish having to drink beer out of his white new sneakers. As new GM Duck Suck Carl got charged to show him how with the other shoe.

Then came the rounds of giving Hash Handles. Ashish has now been properly named the Stalker and DD got named Dancing Dildo a couple of days before his birthday on March 14th. The 3 girls, Tritha, Abhinanda and Aude have been named Chiru’s Angels after the absent sexy legs Chiru. They may henceforth be known as Camera-on Diablo, Drew Belly More, and Lucky Loo ??? We now have to come up with the perfect names for Sarah, Kun-al-ka... The GM sang a hash song learnt in Puri from the Hyderabad GM and Sex Guru Saw had to mime it while we all nearly died laughing. Either the circle then ended or I couldn’t remember any more charges being high on down downs.

The Kenilworth had organised some delicious snacks apart from the peanuts and chips- fish fingers, corn flake covered baby corn, paneer kebabs etc. Pregnant Pinky came to join hubby Shaun, Sarosh came to pick up his micro marathon registration form and Madhuri dropped by after another international women’s day programme. Still no sign of Sexy Legs till we left for the Forum to take people back to their cars.

At the late night bash on Debaroop’s terrace we made plans for the Shantiniketan trip. All the singletons have registered in the unholi hash brigade including stalker Ashish who plans to drive down. Any other hashers keen to come to Shantiniketan on Thursday 24th March with the rest of us, join Chiru and his bicycle band, Neela at Pam's with DD, Ashish, Aude, Tritha, Rahul at GT's, Debaroop etc. for a long hash weekend.

If you're not coming you'll miss the forest party, the moonlight run etc.
See you on Thursday at the British Club to finalise travel plans and acco.

Cheers,
Late cummer Neela 9830014934
