CIRCLE AT THE HYATT REGENCY HOTEL
The Reunion Run on 26th Feb was well attended by returnees and new shoes. 24 hashers met up in front of Nicco Park between the Mood Condoms and Asha publicity ad mobile vans. Since I was one of the first to arrive, (shocking La La Christyne by my non lateness) I was able to direct other hash late-comers like GM Molester Walsh and Willy Wanker Shaun and Glam Chick Soma. Even the hares Sex Guru Saw, Fiddler Nitish, Afroz and Duck Suck kept us waiting while they had a late lunch and beers at Bowler’s Den down the road to recover from Afroz falling into the water hazard and losing his mobile and then having to pay a local to fish it out. While we waited for Willy Wanker, we greeted returnees like Tritha, and her flatmate Aude back from France, and new shoes like Manosh who ran in the Exide Run last Sunday, the French Canadians, and American working with Alain and the Dutch couple working with Dirk. Hissin’ Sid and Zoria kept hissing that it wasn’t fair for others to be kept waiting so next time be there on the dot or get a DD. However it was worth the wait for all the hashers to be reunited and we must have had a record number. The convoy then moved to the Wetland area beyond NICCO Park close to Salt Lake Sector V. Afroz and his friend stayed back with the cars while the hashers and co-hares set off on the Wetlands adventure. Fiddler and Sex Guru saw to it we left behind all mobiles and cameras as they didn’t want another experience of hasher and mobile falling into the water. Rajeev Bhargava in Delhi e mailed; “Late cummer, Carry a phone camera (MMS type) and relay all the beauties to us in Delhi. I promise you will hear our cheer there” Sorry to disappoint you Run with the Pack but we left the phones & cameras behind so none of us got the picture of GM Molester falling into the water hazard. Nor did we get photos of Molester, Pants Down and Willy Wanker crossing the ditch single file over the bamboo bridge holding on to another bamboo pole or of the fish being fed with strips of leather hide. It took us an hour to finish the trail, skirting the lake and crossing the rickety bridges and ducking under or leaping over the stiles. Pants Down, Hungry Kya Alain and Willy Wanker who as short cutting bastards had streaked off and probably got lost before we all reassembled at the first circle after a really smelly patch were however the first to reach the cars. The end of the trail lay after the IT hub of Calcutta and the Intelligence Parks. Alain’s office is in the area and we may possibly have a future run hared by Alain and a circle in their driveway or terrace. We all got into the cars to circle back at the Hyatt poolside as organized by La La and RA Bean Town Billy with Timothy Bruce.
We all circled up near the pool at the Hyatt where there was food, fruit juices, beer in pails. Aude & Glam Chick lit up cigarettes and La La & Hungry Kya were already in the pool while they waited for the rest of the hashers to reach. Bean Town had La La come out and she wet her pants changing back into her track bottoms. Padminie joined us to say her goodbyes on her way to the airport. We had a few drinks and then formed a big circle. The first down downs were for the hares for laying such a great trail. Afroz remained in the circle for gross attention seeking by nearly drowning in the wetlands. Then Molester joined him in the drink so to speak. One swimmer all swimmers and La La & Hungry Kya also got dds. The new shoes all got dds especially Manosh Finance Director of Bates henceforth Master Bates. The sinners were brought into the circle – Aude & Glam Chick for smoking, La La for disrespect to the circle - chatting with Timothy thanking him for hosting the hashers providing food and drink in plenty. Sarah too but she didn’t down her drink. Then came the serious stuff on the agenda. Frozenballs unable to join us for the Reunion Run sent a chilling email from Canada Molester please get this Hash straightened out. What the heck happened to it after I left? ON ON Frozenballs. will see u all in Oct {hopefully the KRH3 will exist till then I pray 4that} So the present council decided to name their successors from amongst the Nash Hash Puri veterans. GM Molester proposed for GM - Duck Sucker who happily volunteered. Duck Suck Carl then had to take the circle and choose his RA etc. Duck Suck stuck with Pants Down Pammi as RA and Fiddler Nitish as Deputy RA. As Hissin’ Sid was already acting Drey (Sarah wasn’t feelin’ up to it) she was nominated Drey. La La remains Moth to lead the dds with a lalala. Yours truly Late Cummer remains Hash scribe churning out Hash Trash. And Nipples Ashish - the Hash Flash. Duck Suck then had to conduct the circle. At a loss what to say, he started thanking the old council. Drey Sarah putting her beer mug on her head to take the floor said that hashers do it for the love of hashing and not for any thanks or recognition. Then all the new council got dds along with the council stepping down. The hash anthem was sung, mimed and reggaed. The circle broke up with RA Bill insisting that at the next hash the GM had to come up with a new Hash anthem. We then wondered who the next hares should be and Saw volunteered to hare with Yuyu; circle on his terrace; run around the Lake area. We then got to enjoy the food and drink more beer. All those keen to join Chiru in his Free Space Collective Forest Party in Shantiniketan & the unholi hash, please let him or Christyne know so they can organize tickets and accommodation. Master Bates will look for someone to update our web page as Nipples has dried up. I’ve promised to look for a Beer anthem. Fiddler I know has the entire hash hymns on his computer. We can be thankful that we have a new GM who also runs, guzzles beer (made it to the heats @ Nash Hash), is a cross dresser and will organize a red dress run in Cal similar to the Kolkata Karnival.
